What is Chatter Charger®? Chatter Charger® is a flat, disposable emergency cell phone battery. It’s just what you need when your cell phone battery is depleted and you can’t immediately or easily re-charger your phone. The charger will allow you to keep talking for up to two hours, keep your phone on standby for up to four hours, or some combination of both. Facts about Cell Phone Batteries Battery life is a factor of battery capacity and battery drain. Any quotes that you see for standby and talk time assume ideal conditions. Most of us will never use a battery fully under ideal conditions the entire time. Using a phone in analog mode drains a battery really quick. So does leaving a phone on when there is no coverage. This can happen when you are in a building, tunnel, underground, or in a plane. In these cases, the phone will spend a lot of power trying to re-establish a connection to the tower. Therefore, it’s important to have a Chatter Charger for those times your battery drains much faster than you expect! My charger shows that my battery is fully charged but it’s not working - why? This phenomenon is known as false peak and is a very common condition during first time battery use (or using a battery that has been discharged for several months). The charger light may go out after only five or ten minutes, indicating that it is fully charged when it is not. Should this happen, simply put the battery on the charger for about an hour, remove it and return to the charger immediately. The battery will resume normal charging and the charger light will indicate when it’s ready for use. This common phenomenon is another good reason to keep a Chatter Charger handy for your use until you get back home or to the office and have access to your charger. |
